Nantucket Blue

Since the time that Katrina and Bruce moved to Utah they have had this cave of a master bathroom. The pictures don't really capture the mud brown nastiness that they have been living with for the last 5 years.
It was very sunny out side and you can see how dark this room is. *Plugh* You can just see the the edge of the ugly brown cabinets. We painted it white.
This is the view if you are standing in the shower.
Obviously we had to make this better. LOL We taped everything off and got started. Katrina had nice blue paint that she had picked up and we painted the cabinetry bright white (see above tidbit). It has a very Nantucket feel to it.
We used garbage bags to protect the mirrors and it just worked swimmingly.
You can see the white and it looks really great. We picked up some nobs that match the brushed nickle hardware that is already in the bathroom. They are going to look great but we don't have them on yet.
Primer up.

Here we are all prettied up.  :)
It is just beautiful.
We were just amazed at how it gave the impression of length and light. Everything looked so crisp.
We are yet to finish the floors. We are going to get some of those linoleum tiles that look like wood. Something light and airy. So we have a bit more work to do but for the most part we another project under out belt.

I find this kind of funny because I have a blue bathroom right now that I want to paint in the brown tones. You are on a roll!

now the problem is how outdated her sink looks....maybe you should get her to buy the pedestal sink :)
