All the Better to Kill Themselves With...

Yesterday we went over to grammys for the afternoon and evening. The Boys have been really wanting to do this because they have been reading books with sword action in them. And of course Grammy and Grandpa have lots of wood to make shields and swords. Here they are after being "arranged" by Alex so that they could have a good pose.
Nik and Al were "fighting" and Alex is so aggressive that he kept getting his fingers whacked. They then graduated to Alex and Sam against Nik and the Long Sword.
They sure had a great time and it was really nice to have it be warm enough for them to be outside for a few hours of hard play. They also enlisted the use of Uncle Wayne's pocket knife so that they could shape there weaponry.

They survived with all limbs intact, no digits were lost in the creation of these swords. We will be headed back because I only let them have one sword each to bring home. The are wild and crazy kids.

LOL! Love it! It's nice to see other people's kids swordfighting, because it makes me feel better about Kiddo doing it, too, LOL... as it is, he breaks out the swords while our home teachers are trying to talk. The nice thing is that, being men, they're generally not real bothered by it. Enjoy the Y CHROMOSOME PLAYTIME!!! :)
