Poke, Poke, Poke

Only time getting drawn on is okay.
So today was Sam's allergy appointment. It went pretty good. He had to have some tests done today and has more tests in a month. He is also scheduled for sinus surgery on the 16th, in two weeks to have the polyps removed so that when he starts allergy shot in mid-April, he will be starting with a clean slate. He had a skin-prick test today. That is what all the pictures are of. He thought it was funny that the nurses wrote on him. But he didn't find the pricks to much fun. He was pretty stoic but he did get to watch a mini DVD player and that helped. The poke test showed that Sam is allergic to Red Top (that is a grass), Ragweed, Russian Thistle, Sage, and Cats. This presents a problem because we have a kitty. She has been part of the family almost as long as Sam has, so today has been very emotional because we have to give her to a new family. We haven't talked to kids yet and I am not looking forward to that. Sam will be on allergy shots for five years, but once he is done he will only have a 5% likely hood of developing allergies again. On brighter news my sister is having here third baby boy in July. I am so excited for her. She is a great mom and works so hard. I love her and her boys very much. She is going to do fabulously with another little boy. I will keep you posted on everything else. Poke, poke, poke. :(

The allergens doing their thing.

That's amazing. So the ones that got bigger are the ones he's allergic to? I've never dealt with that. We are all allergy free so far.

That brings back memories! Dallin and Preston both have had allergy tests, and isn't it nice to know EXACTLY they are alergic to?! Sorry about the kitty, that's hard.
