The Best Layed Plans...

It was to be glorious... Marc was going to go to school and then after class he was to take me out to Chilies for lunch, then on to see the early movie (Twilight). Then at about 10:15 this morning I get a call from the school nurse saying that everything was okay, but that I was going to have to take Sam to the doctor because he had split his chin open and needed stitches. During recess he was on the bridge on the equipment, slipped and smacked his chin on the metal. Poor guy. He ended up with seven stitches total. One on the inside and six on the out. Needless to say our date was shot. But Sam is doing great and Marc and I just laughed it off. Sam has been messing with the plan since he was born, Literally. He was born 2 weeks 6 days early on our 5th wedding anniversary. Here are some pics of the stitches. He was really, really brave. He had to have the numbing gel and the numbing shot. But the doc did a fine job stitching him up as you can see. As for the date. We will try to go out again next Friday. Hopefully....one can just never tell in this crazy place. :)

Okay Marc's comment is cute!!! That poor boy Sam getting a split chin! :( Now, I have to say that is humorous that he has been 'messing with the plan' since he was born! lol! he was born on your anniversary?!?! crazy!!! :)

Poor guy - well, poor all of you! But in retrospect, maybe it's all good - he gets a cool scar, and you get a fun blog post out of it... but at least you *had* plans - that's when we're prepared and then, what needs to happen (instead), can! :-) Glad Sam's alright! :-)
